Oakville Transit Service Changes Starting Sept 6 2026 Key Routes Schedules

Oakville Transit riders should take note of upcoming service changes taking effect on Sunday, September 6, 2026.

The Town of Oakville has announced increased service and route adjustments designed to provide more frequent service and improve connections across the community. Residents who regularly use Oakville Transit may want to review their routes and schedules before the changes take effect.

What's Changing?

Several Oakville Transit routes will be affected.

Route 1 – Trafalgar will provide increased access to Downtown Oakville through Kerr Street while maintaining the route's current frequency.

Route 14/14A – Lakeshore West will reintroduce coverage along Reynolds Street and connect the Oakville Trafalgar Community Centre and Oakville Public Library – Central Branch to the transit network. The route will also have increased service coverage along Lakeshore Road West.

The Town is also introducing Route 80 – School Special, which will provide service for students travelling to Holy Trinity Catholic Secondary School.

Ride On-Demand Changes

Changes are also coming to Oakville Transit's Palermo West/Bronte Creek Ride On-Demand zone. The Town says a new hub at the Highway 407 and Bronte Road Park & Ride will complete the connection to every GO bus operating in Oakville.
