Coldest Night of the Year 2026: Help Oakville Fight Homelessness
On Saturday, February 28, 2026, hundreds of our neighbors will participate in the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY). This family-friendly walk raises money for Front Line Outreach, an Oakville organization that provides essential services to unhoused individuals and families in the Halton region.
The walk features 2km and 5km routes, with the "Main Event" check-in typically located at a North Oakville community hub (like 228 Chartwell Rd). This isn't just a fundraiser; it's a way to feel, even for just an hour, the reality of being outside in the Ontario winter.
In 2026, the goal is to raise record funds to expand youth prevention initiatives. You can register as a team captain, join an existing team like "Front Line Outreach Staff," or simply donate. Note: Pets are not permitted (except service animals), and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Register today at cnoy.org/location/oakvillenorth.
